Sparky Teaching
Sparky Teaching is a resource site which ( in their own words) is all about inspiring classrooms where ordinary things are thought about in less than ordinary ways. We provide creative teaching ideas, motivational and thinking skills resources to stimulate, enthuse and motivate your class… Everything we do comes from our belief that when your pupils are interested, that’s when they’ll succeed.…. NGfL Cymru GCaD
Some wonderful new ( at least to me) resources for teachers and children from Wales on the NGfL Cymru GCaD site. Just love the John Constable resources to support work on the study of landscape and the seasonal calendar is superb.
Many thanks to Mandy Barrow for ‘Twittering’ these resources.

Ancient Rome as you have never seen it before
Google have recently released their latest ‘layer’ for Google Earth. It is an astounding new 3D view of the ancient buildings. It can be found in the Gallery section of Google Earth (you have to upgrade to the latest version to see it) and you will need some power in your computer to get the best out of it.
Do you ‘doodad’?
If you are a primary teacher then just visit the site of Mrs Pancake and I bet you will ‘doodad’ with the best !
This is what Mrs Pancake says about herself:
Mrs Pancake is the teacher everyone loves. She’s kind to the kids, always brings treats and just loves making Doodads – wonderful educational resources for parents and teachers.
Our lovely Doodads help teachers and parents teach literacy, numeracy, lots of topics and just generally make classrooms look great. Mrs P and her team hope to make learning interesting and fun.
Oh, and Mrs Pancake is as ’2.0′ as she is KS1. She’s on twitter and Facebook and has an RSS feed and everything!
