Mathsframe.co.uk provides software for teaching maths on interactive whiteboards. Lots of free activities …There is a small cost for total access but at £10/year should be well worth the fee.

Educational Apps for Halloween

Thanks to one of my PGCE students Jo Badge for the information about this site which lets you type foreign characters, accent marks, diacritics and other characters online.

The site is typeit … clever idea and saves time if you are working in another language or have children in your class for whom English is not their first language.

TES – A Hedgehog’s Year

Sign up for a free TES account and get your hands on some lovely resources. This one ‘A Hedgehog’s Year: Cyclical Sequencer ‘ – A TESiboard activity for pupils to sequence the stages of a year in the life of a hedgehog. Click each picture and read or listen to the explanation. Drag the pictures into the cyclical diagram, placing them in the right order. Takes you through a year of hedgehog life … brilliant for life cycles work in science ‘Life processes and living things’.
